The Saiyans
The Saiyans are a mighty race of warriors who resemble humans but have monkey-like
tails. Among the Saiyans with a notable role in DBZ are Goku, Vegeta, Gohan,
Trunks, Goten, Raditz, Nappa, Bardock, King Vegeta, Turles, Brolli, Bra and Pan. The half-Saiyans
included Gohan, Trunks, Goten and Bra. They had human mothers. Pan was the daughter of
Gohan, thus making her one-fourth Saiyan and three-fourths human. The Saiyans are born
with the unique ability to know how to fight, it's like a sixth sense. Their tails
give them the ability to transform into huge apes by looking at full moonlight. They
lose that ability if they lose their tail. Saiyans with power levels that extend into
the millions transform into "Super Saiyans." When this happens, the hair stands up and
turns golden in color and a golden aura surrounds the body. The power is unreal. Saiyans
can also go beyond Super Saiyan to levels 2, 3 and 4 (in Dragonball GT). Goku was the
first of the modern Saiyans to go "Super." The Saiyans also have the ability to fuse with
each other by doing the "dance of fusion." Goku and Vegeta fuse to form Vegetto and Gogeta (in GT).
Goten and Trunks become Gotenks.
